When can I access the Raising Influence Live conference room?

Doors will open to The Raising Influence Live 2021 conference room at 8:00 am US EST on January 29. We will open the conference platform, hosted on Zoom, to all attendees to get familiar with the site ONE HOUR before the conference starts. During which you can enjoy live music and network. At 9 am US EST, you'll want to be present in the zoom room for the opening talk!

How can I access the Raising Influence Live platform on January 29?

(1) If you have registered, you will receive an email at the email address that you used to register. This email will have the Zoom conference room link. (This link will be emailed to you ONE DAY before the conference starts on January 28th and will also be emailed throughout the day to remind you of each session).

What technology do I need to prepare for the conference?

Here are a few tips to equip yourself with a smoother conference attendance experience:

  • Check your internet speed and network. We recommend a minimum of 5mbps download and 2mbps upload. Ideally, we recommend 30mbps download and 10mbps upload or higher for the best quality - test your speed here.
  • If you are using a VPN (network) or device provided by your employer, please ensure your device can access and share your camera and microphone.
  • Restart your computer before joining the event. This ensures that there are no other video applications holding onto audio or video for any reason.
  • Please use headphones when participating on-screen. This will help eliminate echo and feedback.

Can I stay on the conference platform to network with other attendees after the day's talks are complete?

Yes, although the conference-wide activities are scheduled 8am - 7pm, you can take advantage of the conference platform to network with other attendees after the talks are completed. However, limited/delayed tech support from the Raising Influence team may occur beyond the conference-wide activities timeframe. 

The conference site on Zoom will be completely closed after 7 pm ET on January 29.


Will the conference be recorded? Can I access the recordings afterward?

While we highly encourage attendees to join the live conference and interact with each other, we understand that some of our attendees may not be able to attend the full conference due to time differences. The talks taking place within the zoom room will be recorded and posted online after the conference. Please give us about a week to gather the recordings and place them in a location for attendees to access. We will send an email to all attendees with instructions to access recordings and materials once the recordings have been uploaded.We will update attendees if we would be able to share breakout session recordings online upon the completion of the virtual conference.

If I run into a technical problem, what can I do?

For general technical questions, please try these steps (in order):

  1. Check if you are using Chrome (highly recommended) and Firefox web browser
  2. Refresh your page
  3. Quit and relaunch your browser
  4. Restart your computer
  5. Join the event in a different browser (e.g.: switch from Chrome to Firefox)

What can I do if I lose sound or can’t share my audio/video?

Please try these steps (in order):

  1. Check if you are using Chrome (highly recommended) and Firefox web browser
  2. Refresh your browser
  3. Ensure your browser's permissions are granted to have access to your camera and microphone (in Chrome, type into the URL bar: chrome://settings/content). If you're on a Mac, ensure your browser has permission to record your screen (open your computer's System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Screen Recording > find your browser in the list and check the box)
  4. Quit and relaunch your browser
  5. Restart your computer
  6. Join the event in a different browser (e.g.: switch from Chrome to Firefox)
